Reseña del editor ABOUT THE ALBUM: We Saw The Best In You! CD-Album is not an ordinary album. It is a heartfelt testimonial of America's spirit captured in songs and music! As a part of the 'Gift of Light and Songs' project, the CD is a musical story about America's patriotism, strength and enduring love for freedom and liberty. It is a story of caring and giving, a musical tribute to honor the victims of September 11, the heroes, children of the world and you! It is also about hopes for the future and a better world! Published by Imena Azul-Blue Dreams, an independent label, a portion of proceeds benefit children's funds. ABOUT THE SONGWRITER: Imelda Roberts does not have a music background but what she offers in her first CD Album are real touching stories she felt as an American, an immigrant and an ordinary citizen. Touched by the profound emotions of September 11 tragic events, she began writing to express her deep feelings of love, hope and praise for Americans. Having no musical background, she composed songs with beautiful melodies she vividly heard in her head using a microphone in her home computer, then had them transposed for orchestration. What began as scribbled poetry first written while on a Marc train on her way to work as Director of Human Resources for the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, her songs were inspired by powerful human interest stories she read in the news or personally witnessed following September 11. The original songs were truly heartfelt reflections of America's spirit, extraordinary historical events, and profound feelings shared by millions of Americans! Whether it was a 'Divine Inspiration' or an ordinary act about an extraordinary time, this project took a magical transformation with Imelda composing most songs in a few hours. The production of the CD was a collaborative project among numerous artists who had never worked or met before, yet together shared their best talents to do something special! Through the Internet, Imelda crossed borders meeting talented artists from here and abroad who were quick to help her in the project.
