Radio was just as described, looks good, sounds grate and not to large. Controls are easy to use and setting the presets is a breeze. Still on first set of alkaline batteries. It can use rechargeable and includes AC plug. The only negative is that it is pricy, but you can find it on sale.

I really enjoy this portable device. Take it on the patio and listen to music while I relax. Great sound and easy to adjust and set stations.

I love it. It is the 3rd one we purchased. One still working great, one lost its ability to recharge and power button stopped functioning. This current purchase replaced the previous one. Long life on each unit. Light weight so no handle. Wish it had a lock feature so it doesn't turn on by accident while traveling.

Magnificent! I cannot enough how much I have enjoyed this product. The sound is amazingly clean for a radio this size. Besides, I always go to sleep while listening to classical music I sintonize my favorite station and the radio has a wide range of timings for shutting down. From 15 minutes to two hours. I use it with rechargeable batteries since it uses six AA and if you listen to the radio very often, you ‘ll find yourself spending a lot in batteries. But it’s great that the radio has the option of using one or the other. One of my best purchases this year.

I bought this radio to replace the exact same one I had for years that needed to be replaced. Just want you to know that the charger does not work. I didn't realize this until I had the radio for about a month and tried to charge it. I bought a battery charger and that is how I get it to work now. It's a bit of a hassle but I live with it. This is a good product but I want to alert future buyers to check the charger as soon as its purchased. Thank you.

This radio has some great features: alkaline or rechargeable batteries, AM/FM with scan to find the next channel, 5 presets for each band and a backlit display.Do not like that the radio defaults to FM each time you turn it back on. Do not like that the volume for the alarm buzzer is controlled by the volume knob. It is too easy to have the buzzer volume set way too low to hear to awaken me.Battery life is not very long on alkaline batteries. I haven't used the rechargeables long enough to assess their life.On balance, a good radio if you can tolerate its quirks. And the user manual leaves a lot to be desired.

My mistake, I thought I was purchasing a radio which functioned on either a/c, batteries, or from an internal battery.Changing between am and fm is a bit stupid.

This radio is superior FM reception. The AM is just under what my full size CCrane radio produces but it isgood enough for me, a very hard radio head to please. Nice big display and sound quality for this isclear and exceptional for a radio this size. One of the best features is the display and mostly the volumecontrol is a rotating variable dial on the side of the radio which allows volume to be set at your pleasurerather than a digital component of numbers by a set voltage from inside radio.Nice size and lighted dial sure is helpful when making selection.
