I am a Sheriff Officer. I had purchased this item for my brand new uniforms, that I had just had changed out. These shirts are very expensive and are specially made, for my line of work. Just after only using this item for five days, I had noticed that my new shirt is now very badly frayed and the fabric is just hanging like a cat clawed it. The inside of my new pants, are in the exact same shape! This belt stick to any type of fabric just like super velcro. It makes it extremely difficult to adjust your shirt and pants, once it clings to the fabric. I do not recommend this item. This is the first time I have ever given this bad of a rating to any item I have ever purchased. And now I am told that I have to pay the S/H to send back this defective item! Sheesh!!

I bought this Shirt Lock because I used to have a velco type that didn't always work and I wear dress shirts everyday to work. I also officiate basketball and this product is a necessity. Works like it is supposed to and easy to use. The only problem that I have is that I have to tighten the belt halfway through the day because it becomes loose throughout the day. No big deal. Overall, I would buy this product again because it is the best product on the market unless you want to buy shirt stay garters that attach to your socks.

I had previously used Shirt Stays for 30 plus years to keep my uniform shirt tucked in. I had good results with Shirt Stays, but they had their drawbacks (stretching and breaking). A co-worker told me about the Shirt Lock belt and just how happy he was with his results, so I gave it a try. It works GREAT!! I'm totally satisfied. It keeps my shirt tucked in all day and helps keep my pants up, too. A lot easier to use with better results. I have not had any problems thus far with shirts or pants being frayed.

I was really excited to use this product with my uniform in order to replace the shirt stays I was previously wearing. The idea is great. The problem with the shirt lock system is that you can only pull the thin material so tight before it feels like it's going to break. I wear a duty belt with my uniform and the belt has to be tight on my waist and hips in order for my equipment to function properly. Since I can only pull the shirt lock belt so tight, it bunches up behind my duty belt when I pull it tight. It is also very difficult to create the military tuck in my uniform shirt once the Shirt Lock system is in place; your fingers get rubbed raw and the military tuck never quite works. Like I said before, I had high hopes but the product fell short.

As a state police officer I am required to maintain a clean, tight fitting uniform. The Shirt Lock does the job great keeping my shirt pulled down and firmly in place. At first I was skeptical as I have utilized many variants of shirt stays/belts but I have to say this really works. The belt has small "teeth" on the inside, kind of microfiber teeth that you cannot see. When you fasten it over your shirt, the belt grips onto your shirt and holds it right where you place it. Be warned that it WILL fray your shirt, however the part that is slightly damaged is beneath the belt line (bottom of the shirt). I bought this to replace the shirt stays, shirt stay stir-ups, and the while rubber belt shirt stays I have used in years past.When I returned to patrol, I wanted a shirt stay that was both comfortable and long lasting. The shirt stays garter style tend to slip off the shirt when you least want them to and has a nasty habit of snagging leg hairs. The rubber belt shirt stay worked okay, but did not last long before the metal button ripped out of the end.So far, the shirt lock has worked better that all the others and looks to last for a long time. I will be buying a second one to keep on hand and sending a third one to my son at the Naval Academy.I can recommend this without reservation.

I have owned many products over the years designed to keep shirts tucked in including shirt stays and the rubber belt. It is a never ending problem especially for those who wear a duty belt. This is the best product I have found by far. First attach it to the shirt just below the waist and tighten. I find it easier to do one side at a time, stick one hand between the belt buckle and shirt as you tighten each end keeps it from bunching up around the buckle. Just pull the pants up and hook the waist band on, then button and buckle outer belt. That's it...nothing will move until you take it off. The ShirtLock did an OK job of keeping my shirt in. My shirt pulled up and bunched a little bit, not as bad as if I didn't have anything, but way more than when I wear my shirt stays.On the good side, like I said it did an Ok job, and it didn't set off the metal detector like the metal clasps on my shirt stays do. I have both now, so I'll stick with the stays for most days and use the ShirtLock when I need to travel or go to the courthouse.
