Even if the piece is unglazed, oils used for mold separation still affect texture and feel. Each and every one of our products is made entirely by hand without any additives for truly natural results. Primitive cooking pot with a beautifully darkened, matte exterior over warm Cappadocian fire undertones. First bisque fired in a traditional kiln, later followed by open firing with local hardwoods under high winds. With our two step process we create pieces with a variety of color gradients, patterns and textures. The second step of open firing hardens the pot further and produces a uniform, resilient surface. Unlike most unglazed clay products, no seasoning is required for use. Perfect for 8 to 9 cups of goodness! Each piece is one of a kind, aesthetic variations are to be expected. Each piece is made with primitive methods from scratch, and will not be as uniform as molded or turned pieces. You will surely bring a new flair to your favorite dishes with this simply natural pot!
