RIGHTFULLY DESCRIBED as minor supergroup, Streets were one of the most promising bands to have formed during the early 80s, a huge boom period for melodic rock, providing an environment that supported a number of hugely successful acts like Nightranger, Foreigner and Survivor. Based in Atlanta, Georgia they released their debut album to universal acclaim, if not sales, in 1983 and established a foundation from which to launch their sophomore record, 1985's infectious Crimes In Mind . Produced by man of the moment Beau Hill (Ratt, Warrant, Winger) and recorded in both their home town and New York City, the record takes up the mantle laid down on the debut, boasting ten tracks of perfectly formed melodic hard rock, with hooks and songs to propel them into the stratosphere. That the record failed to achieve expectations commercially is no fault of the band or the material.
