Armónica Suzuki (Mr-250-A), Multicolor

I bought this replacement harmonica for my 86 yr old friend who was lamenting his worn out harmonica he’d had most of his life. Since this was exactly the same one he loved, the grin on his face was priceless. He started playing it right out of the box. Seniors miss their music right right to the end.

I usually play Hohner harps. My fav being the MS Blues Harp. This is the first Suzuki harp I have ever bought. It plays smoothly and I love the chrome finish and plastic comb. The tone is warm, the volume mellow. But after a few months the 3 blow went out. This was disappointing because I thought that the replaceable phosphor bronze reeds were supposed to last longer than standard brass. No matter. I went to shop for replacement reeds and they cost the same as a new Bluesmaster. I'm not hard on my harps and I'm not a professional player. Just a longtime hobbiest. I've had a Hohner MS Blues Harp in C that has lasted me 8 years. Perhaps I got a bad one. Who knows. I'm not ready to give up on Suzuki yet. But I think I'll try the ProMaster or Harpmaster next.

I'm a professional harp player and play full time. These are fantastic harps for the money. They are not as loud as my Seydel Session Steel or Hohner Special 20's but they are extremely well tuned and warm sounding. It doesn't really matter at all if you play amplified. If you tongue block these are very easy to bend while blocking single notes. They also last a while. I tend to break harps in the keys of D and E because of the shorter reeds and these are outlasting the Seydel harps in those keys. I use them on stage for most of the higher keys because of the great response. The only downside is the plastic case it comes in doesn't really protect the harp well and can even scratch it. I like these as much as the Suzuki Manji.

This is a great sounding harmonica. I am just a novice but it sounds great and is easy to play. It comes in a plastic case you can carry in your pocket.Even if you are just learning to play because this sounds so good, it will motivate you to keep playing. I paid about $ 30 for it, and I am very pleased with it. Bending notes, blending, whatever you need to do with this harmonica it will do it well and with ease. I purchased a Honer Special 20 in the key of C, and this Suzuki in the key of A and frankly I prefer this one. Don't get me wrong, I am glad I purchased both and I will be playing both and I recommend both. You can't go wrong with either one. Nice harp, smooth edges, sweet tone!The carrying case is quality and although Hohner harmonicas are still my favorite, the Suzuki is a nice, reasonably priced alternative.Very well made and superb construction

For the past 2 1/2 years I have been playing 4 different bluesmaster keys. Before that I had beenexperimenting with every brand and model there is, inlcuding the Promaster Suzuki in A.I am 74 years old bordering on 75 and I have decided for the past several years that one of mymajor goals in life is to master the harmonica. Since I'm retired and plenty of time on my hands Ihave come a long way toward achieving that goal. My harp of choice is the Suzuki Bluesmaster.I have yet to replace any of the four harps ( A, G, B flat, C,) except for a minor tweaking of one or two reeds.I also completely wash each harmonica every 3 weeks in very warm water. I just got this harmonica and right out of the box this thing sounds great. The bends are easy to hit. You can transition between notes with no slop. I have a couple of hohners with a wood comb that are not as "clean" sounding as this. depending on the sound you are looking for, I would recommend this for someone looking for a good blues harp. A bonus of this design is that it is smooth against your lips. This is my first Suzuki and I am sold on this product.
